What I do in my Job
I advise the State Department Bureaus of "South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA)" and "East Asia and Pacific Affairs (EAP)" regarding legal issues that arise in those regions.

Coolest Thing About my Job
Successful completion of hard-fought bilateralor multilateral negotiations.

Why I chose Federal Service
I chose federal service because the public international law practiced by lawyers at the State Department is much more interesting substantively than anything I could find in the private sector. Also, as a government attorney, I was given more responsibility at an earlier point in my career than I would have found in the private sector. Other factors include wanting to serve my country, appreciating the relative flexibility of the work/life balance, and enjoying job security.

Most Important Issue the Nation is Facing
Finding a way to stability in Iraq and the Middle East.

Interests
Movies, travel, Russian language.
