Description: Career Interns are placed in an excepted service appointment and participate in a formal two-year program of training and job assignments to develop competencies that EPA identifies as
appropriate to its mission and the needs and requirements for
conversion to a competitive service position. Training and
assignments will be documented in written development plans.
After the successful completion of the Career Intern Program,
Interns may be converted non-competitively to a career or career-conditional appointment or their appointments may be terminated.

Compensation: Salary/Wage
Pay will be determined by selectees location.

Hours per Week: Full Time

Duration: Two-year program

Program Availability: Immediate

  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • - If selected, must complete an OF-306, Declaration for Federal Employment.
  • - May be required to travel 5 to 10 days per month.
  • - Must be a U.S. citizen.
