Description: The students will be exposed to different aspects of the Judicial system within the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, which will afford the intern a rare opportunity to witness federal rules of practice and procedure. Students will work with formulating policy, review and draft regulations, support the judicial conference rules committee, International law projects, legislative research projects using Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw and the Library of Congress, attend congressional hearings, provide assistance to the Judicial Conference Committee on Federal-State, assist with the preparation of testimony for congressional hearings, assist with preparing agenda materials for the Committee on Security and Facilities, assist with coordinating briefings to judges for international delegations, federal criminal procedure, and legal research. This opportunity to apply his/her academic studies in a hands-on environment will better prepare the Law student for a professional legal career.
