Description:
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Information Officer as part of a 10-person IT shop. Duties include system requirements definition, system design and software development, software testing and debugging, and significant interaction with subject matter experts.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or be working toward a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and complete projects under tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. The position also requires a person who can work independently and as a part of a team. Training or experience in Visual Basic 6.0 and/or .NET in conjunction with strong SQL skills required. Prior experience with application development in a structured environment a plus. Prior experience with Open Laszlo could be extremely beneficial.
Salary & Benefits
Salary range is $11.00 - $18.00 per hour based on academic level and related experience. Compensation includes a transportation subsidy. This is a temporary position that is expected to last approximately three months between May and August. The selected candidate would be expected to work a 40 hour week, but an alternate schedule may be considered. Housing and relocation expenses are not provided.
