The Energy Information Administration (EIA) invites qualified students, both undergraduate and graduate, to apply for a summer internship at our headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Opportunities are available to students from all disciplines, particularly for those with economics, mathematics & survey statistics, engineering and operations research background.

Internships are paid according to the Federal government GS pay schedule. Depending on academic standing and experience, salaries range from $5,440 to $9,220 for the ten week program.
In addition to gaining valuable quality work experience, EIA summer interns will have the opportunity to meet with senior-level EIA/DOE officials and congressional staff, as well as participate in several networking activities (including weekly brown bag lunch sessions) that will greatly enhance your
knowledge about the energy industry.
The deadline to apply is March 1, 2008.
To be considered for a summer internship at EIA, you must meet the basic eligibility requirements:
1) Be a U.S. citizen;
2) Be currently enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university, graduate or professional school, with rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate status; and in good
standing with the accredited institution.
3) A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is desired
