Duties include:
Assisting in the planning, organizing and execution of media campaigns for NOAA
Researching background information about news organization and reporters
Researching, developing and writing news releases about NWS ongoing research, special programs, products and services
Developing facts sheets, graphics and web material
Fielding inquiries from both the news media and general public and directing them to appropriate public affairs specialists or experts
Assisting in interviews and special events
Other duties as may be assigned.
The position is at NOAA’s National Weather Service headquarters office in Silver Spring, MD. (Red line - Silver Spring Metro stop)
